Over 40,000 plants are grown each year. The plants grown include a range of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, sedges, grasses and climbers.

Tree Day 2006The Nursery specialises in growing native plants hardened off to suit the region's local climatic conditions.

The Nursery is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, and managed by the Landcare Nursery Coordinator. The premises are provided by the Tumut Shire Council.

Plants grown by the Nursery are available for local projects, or for purchase by the public. If you would like a large order, please be sure to get your order to the Nursery by February for Spring plantings, and October for Autumn plantings. For details of species available, see the Nursery Order Form (available to download, below) or contact the Nursery. The Nursery also has an ongoing supply of plants available for purchase.

The Nursery is located on the Gocup Road Tumut, approximately 300 m from the intersection with the Snowy Mountains Highway. It is generally open Mondays to Saturdays, between 8.00 am and 12.00 pm.
